ShopDesk is built around a few core ideas: a clean public booking page, an organized owner dashboard, customer records for returning clients, and bilingual English / Chinese support throughout. Here is what each part does.
Public booking page
Each business gets its own ShopDesk subdomain (e.g., yourshop.shopdeskapp.com). Customers see your services, hours, and staff. They pick a service, choose a time, enter their name and phone, and confirm — no account needed. The page works on phones and supports English and Simplified Chinese.
Owner calendar
Day, week, and month views with bookings rendered live. Drag a booking to reschedule, click to open details, see notes and customer history at a glance. Staff schedules, bookable hours, and blocked time help control what customers can book from the public page.
Services & staff
Add services with durations, prices, and category tags. Add staff with their own bookable hours and the specific services each person offers. The public booking page uses your services, staff, and schedule setup to show available booking options.
Customer management
Bookings can be connected to customer records. Visit history, contact details, and any notes you add are all in one place. This helps owners recognize returning customers and keep booking information organized.
Gift cards & rewards
Issue gift cards from the dashboard and redeem them with QR scanning. Rewards work the same way and are useful for repeat-customer perks.
AI Receptionist (add-on)
A separate optional paid add-on. It can help answer calls, handle booking requests, take messages, and transfer calls when needed. Two tiers based on monthly call minutes. Independent of Free and Pro — separate subscription.
Chinese language support
Dashboard, public booking page, and customer notifications all support English and Simplified Chinese. Staff can switch the dashboard to their own preferred language independently.
